                        (ND) NORDDEUTSCHER LLOYD (1886-1914)

                   Ewin Drechsel's "Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen" is the principal
                        source of information and pictures of the NDL ships which provided
                        a regular passenger service from Bremen and other European ports
                        between 1886 and 1914.  
                        Arnold Kludas' "Die Geschichte Der Deutschen Passagier- Schiffahrt,
                        Vol. 2 1890-1900 is another important source of information and
                        pictures on NDL ships and services.
