of Regular Monthly Service to Australia.
Initially, via the
Cape of Good Hope with return
via Suez
but from 1883 both ways via
Suez. The service started with
three ships from Pacific Steam
Navigation Co. (.) and
one from the
Royal
Netherlands Steamship Co.
(RNSC) but.
soon expanded into a joint service between Orient and
PSNC
under Orient management as the Orient Line built
up
its own fleet.
